Groups are places that serve the interests of a group of people. Anyone can create a group, which may be public or private. If you aren't an official representative of a band, you can still show your support by creating a group dedicated to that band.
You could also build a group around a genre of music, a radio station, or whatever you like. 1) Go to Personal > Groups. After the header ("My Groups") you should see a link that says, "Create New Group". Click that link. 2) Create a Group Name. 3) Choose a URL for your group, and check its availability. Your URL must be available in order to continue. 4) Add a description of your group, to let people know what it's all about. 5) Upload a picture for the group, if you wish. 6) Decide if you want your group to be public or private. Public groups are open to all. If you group is private, someone must join the group before they can view the group. 7) Decide whether or not you want to restrict posting. If you restrict posting, only users you designate as Authorized Writers will be able to create new posts. 8) Decide who can comment within the group. The default is that anyone on Groupee can comment. You can change this to "Group Members Only". In this case, only members of the group can comment. 9) Click "Create Group" to complete the group creation. That's it! Paul Gude Groupee Operative |
